The VIOFO RWC200 Waterproof Rear Camera with 9.5M Cable is designed for compatible VIOFO A229 Plus and VIOFO A229 Pro dash cams. It provides a waterproof exterior rear camera solution for vehicles where an internal rear windscreen camera is not suitable.

With 2K rear recording, HDR support and an IP67 waterproof housing, the RWC200 is ideal for utes, SUVs, vans, trucks, 4WDs, commercial vehicles and vehicles with limited rear window visibility.

Waterproof Rear Camera for Exterior Mounting

The RWC200 is designed for exterior installation, commonly above the rear number plate, on the tailgate, rear bumper area or rear body panel. This makes it a strong option for vehicles where mounting a rear camera inside the rear windscreen is difficult or not effective.

It is especially useful for utes, pickup trucks, vans, SUVs, camper setups, commercial vehicles and 4WDs where rear visibility may be affected by cargo areas, canopies, tailgates or rear window angle.

2K Rear Recording

The RWC200 records rear video in 2K resolution, helping capture clearer rear-facing footage compared with standard lower-resolution rear cameras. This provides better detail when reviewing road events, vehicles approaching from behind or incidents around the rear of the vehicle.

HDR for Improved Rear Footage

HDR helps balance bright and dark areas in the image, reducing overexposure from headlights and strong lighting. This can improve rear footage visibility at night and make recorded video easier to review.

IP67 Waterproof Protection

RWC200 vs Standard Interior Rear Camera

A standard interior rear camera is normally mounted inside the rear windscreen. The RWC200 is different because it is designed for exterior mounting. This is useful when the rear window is blocked, too far from the rear of the vehicle, heavily tinted, steeply angled or not suitable for clean rear footage.

If your vehicle has a clear rear windscreen and you prefer an internal installation, a standard rear camera may be suitable. If you need an exterior rear camera, the RWC200 is the better option.

Installation Notes

The RWC200 should be installed in a position that provides a clear rearward view and does not interfere with vehicle operation, number plate visibility, tailgate operation, sensors or lights.

Professional installation is recommended, especially where cable routing through tailgates, rubber grommets, rear panels or exterior body sections is required.
