Warranty Policy

LIMITED WARRANTY IN AUSTRALIA


VIOFO Dashcam Australia (operated by JY Networks Pty Ltd) provides warranty coverage in accordance with the manufacturer’s terms and the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

1. Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to:

  • A replacement or refund for a major failure
  • Compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage
  • Repair or replacement if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure

2. Warranty Coverage

This warranty applies to genuine VIOFO products purchased from authorised Australian resellers.

👉 Total coverage for dash cams: up to 24 months (2 years)

3. Proof of Purchase

Proof of purchase is required for all warranty claims.

Warranty support in Australia is facilitated by JY Networks Pty Ltd as an authorised distributor of genuine VIOFO products, in accordance with VIOFO manufacturer warranty terms and Australian Consumer Law.

4. Warranty Exclusions

This warranty does not cover:

  • Misuse, accidents, or physical damage
  • Improper installation
  • Unauthorised modification or repair
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Use of non-recommended or incompatible microSD cards
  • Products purchased outside Australia or from unauthorised sellers

5. Warranty Claims Process

  • Order number or proof of purchase
  • Product model and serial number
  • Description of the issue

Customers may be required to return the product for inspection to the place of purchase or designated service centre.

6. Limitations of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • The dash cam is a recording device and does not guarantee all events will be captured
  • VIOFO is not responsible for loss or corruption of recorded data
  • The product is not a substitute for safe driving
  • No liability for indirect or consequential damages
  • Installation or removal costs are not covered

7. General Conditions

  • Warranty is valid for the original purchaser only
  • Warranty is non-transferable
  • Serial number must remain intact and legible
  • All claims are subject to inspection and verification
